From lands afar 3 men walk the lands of Yorkshire looking for something to ease the growing hunger and loss of spirit. These 3 men work together to organise events for their clients but alas their luck has run out. Alone with no support from their  workplaces they were set a challenge which are currently struggling with "to organise 3 corporate Christmas parties for the work place and they must be on the dates provided." 

With time running out they entered the restaurant know as Omar Khans and together asked to book a work Christmas party on the dates they were given. This time luck was with them as the dates they wanted were available and they could book early. Going Crazy For Christmas

With less than a month to go before Christmas this very existed but nervous blogger is going crazy with not knowing what to get or do towards the big day. Not knowing what my family, friends and work mates would want is driving me mad and I need help and can't find any. These things alone are pushing me to my limit. Until I was walking in town and spotted an advisement for Christmas Dinner Party's at Omar Khans.

I walked in to find out more about it and found out about the multiple Christmas menus that they have available, this on its own surprised me as I had no idea places like that even did this sort of thing. They also told me about the function room which caters for large numbers of people which can be used for Corporate Christmas parties when they are booked in advance.

I thought when I left the restaurant that i solved my Christmas meal problem, until my phone rang and it was a call from work. The curry loving top brass from Clough & Co and HSBC's management teams were recently treated to seeing a master kitchen craftsman at work.

I'm talking of course of non other that Omar Khan himself. The much respected local entrepreneur and Bradford Bulls chairman went back to his roots as a chef to cook up a delicious Chicken Tikka Masala in a spirited, entertaining demonstration that proved a big hit with all.

Chicken Tikka Masala is a delicious dish in which pre-marinated pieces of chicken are grilled and then added to a thick gravy with added spices and peppers. The team witnessed Omar's expert fusion of yogurt, chilli powder, tandoori masala, chicken breast and other mouth watering ingredients first hand, getting a rare sneak peak into one of Omar Khan's award winning recipes. For a true lover of curry this was like getting a backstage pass and it seems the only thing this team of hard working managers loved more than the demonstration was tucking into the feast afterwards!

Mr Khan laughed and bantered with the audience as he brought some unsuspecting volunteers up to assist him in making the dish. It's really not every day you get to work alongside an award winning chef and THE name for luxury curry dining in our region!

Great fun was had by all and the event was deemed a huge success, celebrating the links and partnership between Bradford businesses.

28 Days to go until Christmas, it's getting closer and closer. The lights are being switched on in town and Santa is arriving with his Elves and Reindeer to here the children's Christmas wishes. Even Santa receives letters...from Omar Khans!

'It's here! It's here!' Cried the Elf, he ran into the workshop waving an envelope. It had finally arrived, sent first class and everything. The work Christmas party invites had come back from the printers. The Elf ripped oepn the envelope and started passing round the invites. The invites had a menu printed on either side and little tick boxes, the Elves had to return them to Santa within a week to ensure Omar Khans knew who was having what. They could just order when they got there, but Elves love to be organised/

The Christmas menus had a wide variety of choice with lamb, chicken, veg, prawn or king prawn, there was all the popular dishes you could ask for. The other menu was a banquet style so if you wanted to you could be more adventurous. 'Oh I can't decide' shouted one of the Elves. 'Can I have it all?' asked another. The selection of food was making the Elves so happy they wondered if they could go down sooner. But Santa said they could not stop work now, there were lots more letters to get through. 'I'm sure I received one from Omar the other day...'

Santa's surprise and Omar Khan's

Last night this sleepy blogger was relaxing while trying to plan a work Christmas party when I heard a large bang from the lounge. Upon walking down the stairs defensively I opened the door to find surprisingly "Santa" and two of his elves there having an argument with one of his reindeer, clearly they were having a problem and needed help.  

Although they were nervous around me the Elves explained that they were organising a Christmas dinner party for the day before Christmas, this was so Santa could eat well before he did his deliveries that night. Unfortunately they could not decide where to do it as they didn't want to book the same old place they did every year, the "Jingle Bell Rock". Upon that thought I recommended that they tried Omar Khan's!

They thanked me for the help and left with no more arguments and even took my Christmas list! I said to myself.

Last night this inrepid blogger was visited by three spirits in time honoured festive style. They spoke to me of the culinary treats that are, that were, and those yet to come! 

The first spirit to visit me was the Ghost of Christmas Past who showed me all the traditional Christmas dinner parties I've been scoffing through every December since I was a child.
